Standby generator installation puts in a permanent, automatic backup power system that kicks in the moment your utility power goes out – no manual setup, no running extension cords, just power that stays on for essential circuits or your entire home depending on the unit size you choose.
Homeowners in Gresham, OR usually reach out after a bad storm season, a power outage that lasted too long, or simply because they're tired of losing power at the worst times – during winter cold snaps, summer heat, or whenever a storm rolls through. Sometimes it's tied to a specific need, like medical equipment at home that can't afford to lose power.
We start with a load assessment to determine what size generator your home actually needs, then handle the full installation – setting the unit on a proper pad outside the home, running the fuel line connection (natural gas or propane depending on what's available), and installing an automatic transfer switch that detects outages and switches power over automatically. We coordinate any required permits and inspections as part of the job, since standby generators typically require local permitting and utility coordination.
Cost depends on the generator size, fuel type, and how much electrical and gas line work is needed to get everything connected properly.
